ABOUT SATHYABAMA
SATHYABAMA is recognized as one of India’s prestigious and leading institute, founded by Col. Dr. JEPPIAR in 1987 as Sathyabama Engineering College. The Institution’s progress and contribution to the field of technical education for over three decades resulted in granting Deemed University status on 16th July, 2001. The University has been awarded as category “A” University by Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD) Government of India and accredited by NAAC with Grade “A” in the year 2017, certified with DNV-GL ISO 9001 standard and offering exemplary education for last 30 years. World Class Equipped Laboratory Facilities, Dynamic approach to teaching and research with excellent customer satisfaction. Sathyabama offers 27courses of Engineering in UG and PG level addition to science, MBA, MCA and Doctoral Programs in all disciplines. The expertise in research and research lead teaching encompasses engineering science, technology education and develops the wide range of Professional and a long standing commitment to lifelong learning. It has undertaken various sponsored and collaborative research and development projects funded by National Organizations (ISRO), (DRDO), (NIOT), (MOEF), etc. Our motto is “TOGETHER FOR BETTER TOMORROW” and our mantra of success is “LEARN TODAY and LEAD TOMORROW”. ABOUT SCIENCE CLUB
The science club of student development cell was initiated on 2013. Moto of this club is to promote science and motivate the students through various activities including building scientific experiments and involving in scientific events making science more fun and interesting . This is one of the active clubs of Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology. This club has the pride inorganising mega events every semester such as Techno Summit,Techsat , Scrapture and quizbee are some of the successful events conducted in the past, participation in these event was remarkable. The glory of the science club is to promote science in the government schools in and around the city through school on wheels. This initiative was appreciated by management of Sathyabama and Tamilnadu government. Science club has always been in front in taking initiative to promote science and giving opportunity to every student.
Student involving in these activities are tend to increase their exposure in and around the college.
ABOUT AGON
Agon – battlefield conducted by science club of Sathyabama institute science and technology is a intercollege event with 10 different events, technical and non technical. The event is schedule on 08 and 09 august of 2019. The posters of each event and the details about registeration are uploaded in official AGON website. The student across the city from any stream are heartly welcomed for the mega event. The participants will be appreciated with certification. “If you always do what you always did,you will always get what you always got, break the bars and take yourself up there”.
